Covid-19 update

Covid-19 update

Dear CPS families,

To help slow the spread of COVID-19, the Victorian Government has announced that Monday 23rd March is the last day of school for Term 1. Holidays start this week and will run until Wednesday April 15th.

On the 15th of April, it is likely that students will begin remote learning. This means that students may not be coming to school. At the moment we don’t know how long school will remain closed in Term 2. If schools are closed from the beginning of term, teachers will be posting learning online, through SeeSaw. We will also be using SeeSaw to communicate with families.

Please turn on See Saw notifications to make sure you don’t miss out on important information.

To help families prepare for home learning, teachers will also be sending home printed work booklets. Your child is not expected to complete this work over the holidays. These booklets went home with students who were at school yesterday. The booklet will also contain a letter from the principal with more important details about home learning and COVID-19.

If your student was not at school on Monday, we will keep this work safely at school and call you to make a time when they can be picked up.

The school will also be putting together family packs of home learning equipment (including writing books, pencils and games). These packs will be ready later in the week and we will contact each family by phone to arrange for you to pick them up.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call the school on 9347 6022. Staff will be at school until the end of the week to support families over the phone or via SeeSaw.

Kind regards,

CPS staff

PS. Don’t forget, the best way to support your child’s learning is to read with them every day!
